Do you have a fire alarm?
Do you have a fire alarm? Is it connected to an alarm monitoring service? You may want to call and update your alarm company with this new change!
To start the new year, the Sullivan Fire Protection District made some changes to how they are dispatched to calls for service.
For the past several years, the Sullivan Fire Department has been dispatched by the Washington County 9-1-1 Center.
Just a few weeks ago, this changed, and the Franklin County 9-1-1 Communications Center is now handling the calls for service and dispatching the Sullivan Fire Department.
What does this mean to you?
In any event of a police, fire, or medical emergency, it is still always recommended that you call 9-1-1 first. Your 9-1-1 call will be routed to the appropriate dispatch center automatically and you won’t notice a difference at all!
In instances of a fire alarm activation, for example, your alarm monitoring company would receive the notification and will need to contact the appropriate dispatch agency.
This is where we need your help!
We are asking businesses and families that are located within the Sullivan Fire Protection District and have a fire alarm monitoring system to please contact their alarm company directly and update their information.
Here is what your alarm company will need to know: “The phone number to dispatch the Sullivan Fire Department in the event of a fire alarm activation at my address has changed. Please update my account to show that the Sullivan Fire Department is now being dispatched by Franklin County Missouri 9-1-1 Communications and their phone number is 636-583-7398.”
Unfortunately, since there are multiple alarm monitoring companies and there is not a public record of which alarm monitoring company you may be using, the Sullivan Fire Protection District is unable to update your alarm monitoring company for you.
